Returning Leeds Rock & Roll heroes SPACEHOG joined us at the start of their first UK tour in over 15 years…
Though hailing from our fair city of Leeds (West Yorkshire, UK), Spacehog met and formed in New York in 1994. Their debut album ‘Resident Alien’ sold 1.4 million copies in the US and spawned the hit single ‘In the Meantime’. After releasing two further long-players and touring with likes of Aerosmith, REM and Red Hot Chilli Peppers, life and its trappings ran fiercely concurrent with the severe mood of the world and they disbanded in September 2001.
Reforming in 2011, they released the stunning new album ‘As it is on Earth’ in April this year and return in October for their first UK tour in over 13 years.
We were joined on the Chinwag couch by Spacehog consiglieres Royston Langdon and Jonny Cragg for an evening of chat about life after rock & roll stardom, the creative drive to make an album under will and expanding consciousness…..
